MARTINEZ, Calif. – Calling all Alhambra graduates to the fifth triennial “Decades Reunion.” The popular event is scheduled for Aug. 14-16, 2015.
Coordinator Mary Breshears Perez and her committee are expecting over 1,000 Alhambra alumni and their spouses to flock to Martinez to renew old friendships and celebrate their memories.
The first event on Friday evening will feature dinner, live music and a silent auction at the Don Ygnacio Plaza between City Hall and the Boys and Girls Club. On Saturday, Kinder’s Meats & BBQ will cater a picnic at Martinez Waterfront Amphitheater. In the evening, the crowd will gather at Main Street Plaza for a Car Cruise featuring restored autos that span the same decades as the high school years being celebrated – the 1930s to the 1980s.
The Boys & Girls Club will be open Sunday morning for a pancake breakfast followed by 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Catherine’s, for those who wish to attend.
There are four events: Friday Night Dinner, Saturday Picnic, Saturday Dance and Car Cruise, and Sunday Breakfast. Only paid AHS alumni and their guests will be admitted to official events.
