MARTINEZ, Calif. – Fire destroyed a parking garage Monday night, but was halted before it reached nearby apartments, according to the Contra Costa County Fire District.
Dispatchers were notified of the fire in the 200 block of Oak Manor Plaza about 8:17 p.m. Monday, and responders arrived to find the garage in flames that were near a four-apartment complex.
Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control by 8:32 p.m. Monday. Cause of the fire remains under investigation. No one was hurt in the firefight.
