Antioch man faces felony charges after traffic stop

MARTINEZ, Calif. – An Antioch man has been booked into the Martinez Detention Facility, 1000 Ward St., after Martinez Police made a traffic stop early Saturday in the 3500 block of Pacheco Boulevard, Lt. Aaron Roth said.

“During the traffic stop, the driver of the vehicle was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm with the serial number removed, over six grams of methamphetamine and $1,500,” Roth said.

He identified the motorist as Troy Matthews of Antioch, and said the man has been accused of “multiple felony charges.” Bail has been set at $240,000.
