MARTINEZ, Calif. – Martinez Police are searching for an armed suspect who robbed a McDonald’s Restaurant, 1185 Arnold Drive, late Tuesday, Sgt. Tyson Muncher said.

The robbery began about 9:08 p.m. Tuesday when someone walked up to the restaurant’s drive-through window and demanded money from the cashier, Muncher said. No description of the alleged robber was available.

“The suspect pointed a gun at the cashier and reached through the open window and removed the drawer from the cash register,” Muncher said. The amount of money taken wasn’t disclosed.

After the robbery, the suspect, carrying the cash drawer, fled on foot north on Morello Avenue.
“Martinez units checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect,” Muncher said.
