MARTINEZ, Calif. – As organizations and individuals go about choosing their “holiday giving projects” this year, representatives from the Newborn Infant Project sponsored by the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center, Martinez, Auxiliary, ask you to please consider the babies this season.

Auxiliary Volunteers put together layettes containing crib blankets, receiving blankets, sleepers, onesies, booties, hats, digital thermometers and extras when available for babies born at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center. Layette are given to the mothers as each newborn baby goes home.

Beverly Annis, project chairman, stated: “We appreciate all contributions as to our project there are approximately 150 babies born each month. Our current needs are crib blankets, sleepers, booties, even sweaters for the winter.”
