Letter to our readers: I’ll be back shortly

Martinez Tribune

Martinez Tribune readers, I have penned this letter to let you all know that from Dec. 28, 2015, to Jan. 18, 2016, I will not be in town to cover sports at Alhambra.

I’ll be on holiday in Europe during that time, and have found a very capable replacement to help me out during my absence.

Luke Johnson has worked for many years with the Antioch Herald and Delta Sports Magazine as a sports writer, covering all different types of sports. He has become an essential part of the Sports community at Antioch High School, as well as Pittsburg, Liberty-Brentwood, Heritage-Brentwood and Freedom-Oakley. His twitter account, @Scoop_Johnson, updates fans and families alike to what goes on in the high school sports world at those schools.

I feel he is a perfect candidate to help me out during my absence.

All the in-season teams’ coaches have been notified of my absence, and will be doing their best to assist in keeping up the standard our readers have grown accustomed to. Thank you for understanding, and I’ll see you all in the new year.
