Police Blotter: March 16-22, 2016

Martinez Tribune

Wednesday, March 16
At 1:39 p.m., well into lunchtime, a man fell down and was bleeding from the forehead in the McDonald’s restaurant on Morello Avenue. He walked out and probably went to the Carl’s Jr. across the street.

Just after 6 p.m., a woman was seen on Berrellesa Street and Alhambra Avenue wearing a gray sweatshirt and no pants.

Roughly 30 minutes later, a man was assaulted at the Bait and Tackle shop by another man who was described as a 28-year-old MMA fighter.

Not even a full hour later, a gray go-cart was speeding up and down Ferry Street across from the Senior Center.

Thursday, March 17
At 9:30 a.m., a blondish woman in her 20s wearing a pink sweater and knit cap was in the Amtrak station bathroom reportedly dealing drugs.

Around 10:15 a.m., a man wearing a striped shirt was apparently attempting to cover up what he was smoking out of a pipe in the plaza area next to the Starbucks downtown. There are easier ways to hide what you’re smoking, like not doing it in the middle of downtown at 10:15 a.m.

Friday, March 18
At 11:16 a.m., a gold Nissan Sentra was seen running a red light, speeding, tailgating and weaving southbound on Alhambra Avenue.

The driver of the Sentra flipped off another driver who dissented to the reckless driving, and continued to hold her finger skyward even as the opposer pulled into a gas station.

Around 3:30 p.m., two juveniles were seen climbing on top of the parked train cars inside the railyard.

At some point on this day, a person was paid in counterfeit money for an item off of Craigslist in the Petco parking lot. This is why I do all my transactions in chocolate coins.

Sunday, March 20
At 3:32 in the morning, a woman on Starflower Drive was yelling that she fell off a roof and was drunk.

Monday, March 21
It is my birthday.

At 11:16 a.m., a man at the unoccupied building on Ferry Street across from Loaves and Fishes was smoking pot and cursing at people.

Around 4 p.m., there was a noise complaint for a home on Baylands Drive.

Just before 9 p.m., a senior man in a yellow hat was inside the Starbucks on Arthur Drive yelling obscenities; he wouldn’t leave the store.

Tuesday, March 22
At 8:54 p.m., a man was in front of the Buon Aroma restaurant on Alhambra Avenue bothering customers.
