MARTINEZ, Calif. – Assistant City Manager Alan Shear recently announced his resignation, effective April 15.
Shear, who’s worked for the City of Martinez since October 2010, has accepted an offer from the city of Millbrae, California.
A special proclamation was presented to Shear during the April 6 City Council meeting, naming April 15, 2016, “Alan Shear Day.”
Shear’s successor has not yet been named, though the City does expect to announce the hire of a new city manager to replace interim manager Jim Jakel within the coming weeks.
