‘Future Chef’ winner …

Lucy Fassl-Lemons (pictured) was the winner of the Sodexo Culinary Competition Cook-Off held at John Muir Elementary School in Martinez Wednesday, March 23, 2016. The competition allowed students to submit healthy breakfast recipes and later create them for a panel of judges. Each young finalist received a plaque, recipe book, chef coat, apron and hat. Fassl-Lemons’ recipe will now be entered in a national competition, where she’ll have a chance to win prizes and national recognition. (PAULA ONOFRIO / Courtesy)
