Amy Beaty and Lexis Alford attended Tech Trek camp at Sonoma State College. The two Alhambra Junior High School girls had a great time and learned lots of science. Much more important, they learned that science is fun!

Tech Trek is a summer camp program sponsored by AAUW – the Association of University Women. Tech Trek is a science and math camp designed to develop interest, excitement, and self-confidence in young women who will enter eighth grade in the fall. Scholarships cover all expenses.

Amy and Betty learned about the STEM program – designed to encourage young women to make their careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Both are inclined toward biology – one of the most exciting areas of science, with great career opportunities. Go Amy! Go Betty!
