Volunteers shave heads to raise money for childhood cancer research during the annual St. Baldrick’s Shave-a-thon, held last Sunday, March 19, 2017, in downtown Martinez. Hundreds came out to support the effort, including Mayor Rob Schroder, who in keeping up with tradition dyed his hair green for a couple of weeks before having it sheared at the event.
