The Martinez Interact Club has been going on for a long while. It has never been stronger! About 30 members meet regularly under the aegis of Rotarian Bruce Christensen and Alhambra High School teacher Tom Murray.

Last Sunday Interact sponsored an “Iron Chef” cook-off on Main Street, next to the Farmers Market. It was spectacular!

Winners were the three-girl AHS Interact team of Daria Dragicevic, Julia Brown and Becca Jochum. They cooked up a tropical shrimp rice bowl in a pineapple bowl with pineapple lemonade and acai.

Daria is a junior interested in computer science; Julia is a sophomore interested in medicine; and Becca is a freshman headed toward teaching. Impressive girls! Interact is in great shape!

We’ll report at another time what great experiences Interact kids are having as they pursue their dreams at college and elsewhere.

Thanks Bruce and Tom. Without your guidance and leadership this wouldn’t be happening! Go Dawgs!

Rotary Report is a brief synopsis of weekly Martinez Rotary Club presentations, provided by a Rotary member.
