Martinez Soroptimist club elects new 2016-2017 officers

MARTINEZ, Calif. – Spirits were high as the Soroptimists recently gathered at Haute Stuff restaurant in downtown Martinez to install their new officers for the 2016-2017 year.

Installed as President was Judy Moon; Vice-President Kendra McKeen; Treasurer June Rogers; Secretary Sara Lawson; and, Club Director Ann Stanley.

Soroptimist International is a global volunteer organization working to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment. In addition to the many clubs throughout the world, Soroptimist also has an online volunteer and activist network offering flexible action opportunities for interested individuals. This website is known as LiveYourDream.org.

Following through with president Judy’s theme, “Stars in Service and Commitment,” Pam Parker, the Governor Elect, presented each new officer with a flashing star to remind them of their duties throughout the year.
