Martinez resident Freda Keat-Grillo passed away with her family by her side on July 14, 2021. She was born in Visalia, CA. and moved to Martinez with her family when she was a young child.
Freda was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Martinez, and a member of the Alhambra High School Class of 1943. She worked for the Martinez School District in the cafeteria for 29 years. Freda loved her family and friends, and they loved her back. She enjoyed travelling to Switzerland to visit her cousins. She also enjoyed dancing, playing cards and dominos.
All who knew Freda loved her. She was the life of the party! She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Cordova, grandchildren Richard Cordova and Sheli Cordova-Alford (Scott), great-grandchildren Monique Cordova, Richie Cordova Jr., Lindsey Alford and Lexi Alford. She is also survived by step-children Alex Grillo and Joanna DiSibio and their families.
A Vigil and Rosary will be held Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 5:00pm at St. Catherine Church in Martinez, and a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 11:00am also at St. Catherine Church. Burial immediately following Mass at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1965 Reliez Valley Rd., Lafayette, CA 94549.
