MARTINEZ, Calif. – Firefighters battled a blaze on Midway Drive Tuesday night, allegedly the result of unattended cooking.

Contra Costa County Fire Protection District officials reported via Twitter at 8:08 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, that a two-alarm fire was in progress at a residence in the 200 block of Midway Drive.

The fire was under control by 8:35 p.m., with no injuries reported.
