Martinez woman charged in Christmas Eve hit-and-run

MARTINEZ, Calif. – A motorcyclist was transported to the hospital following a hit-and-run on Christmas Eve, according to California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The incident occurred at approximately 6:35 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 24.

Emergency responders who arrived at the scene found an injured rider lying in the roadway. The motorist was transported by ground ambulance to John Muir Medical Center in Concord for treatment of minor injuries.

According to the dispatch report, the suspect vehicle that struck the motorcyclist was an unknown model of SUV.

However, according to a family member of the suspect, a witness to the hit-and-run followed the suspect vehicle and later led authorities to the home of Martinez resident Fenae Perez-Marieiro.

Perez-Marieiro was transferred to West County Detention Facility in Richmond on hit-and-run charges. She’s being held on $150,000 bond.
