Chamber now accepting ‘Citizen of the Year’ nominations

MARTINEZ, Calif. – The Martinez Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce they are now accepting letters of nomination for the 2015 Citizen of the Year Awards. The awards are given in the following categories: Man of the Year, Woman of the Year, Young Man of the Year, Young Woman of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, Service Without Borders, and Educator/Teacher of the Year.

To nominate someone for any of these categories, visit www.martinezchamber.com or contact the Martinez Chamber of Commerce for a Citizen of the Year Guideline Form. Those that choose to nominate others must write a letter stating why they believe the person deserves the award. The more information provided gives the nominee a better chance of being an awardee.

The nominator’s contact information and nominees contact information, including address and telephone number on the letter, is required for the nomination to be accepted.

The Citizen of the Year Awards Banquet is scheduled for Saturday, April 30, 2016, from 6-9 p.m.

The deadline for all nominations is Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, at 5 p.m.
