Saint Ashbury

Details: “Americana.” Jamie McCrary on vocals; Jeremy Cozakas on guitar; Ashley Mitchell on bass/mandolin/slide guitar; Bryan Gessaro on piano/bass; Louie Senor on drums. Presented by Minor Chords Productions. Saint Ashbury formed in early 2013 as a song writing project and quickly evolved into a band. Singer Jaime McCrary’s voice walks a thin line between country and contemporary rock. Jeremy Cozakas and Ashley Mitchell bring two different song writing styles to the band that have complimented each other nicely, and along with Jaime’s unique voice, created a sound that is definitely melodic, yet difficult to label.

Ray Obiedo & Mistura Fina

Details: “Brazilian, Carribean and Latin Jazz.” Ray Obiedo on guitar; Sandy Cressman on vocals; Phil Hawkins on drums/steel pans; Alex Murzyn on flute & sax; Bob Karty on keys; David Belove on bass; Derek Rolando on percussion.Guitarist and composer Ray Obiedo formed Mistura Fina to explore his great love of Latin music. Obiedo’s compositions for the group are drawn from his many musical influences – including contemporary jazz, funk, Caribbean, R&B, pop and Latin music. Mistura Fina works with a wonderfully rich array of textures and colors, melding together all of its musical elements for a delightfully distinctive Bay Area flavor. While there is the heavy influence of Brazilian & Afro Cuban rhythms, a traditional West Coast Latin Jazz sound is always at the core of this ensemble.

The Lafayette Studio Big Band

Details: “Jazz.” Retirement party and show for Steven Powell, U.S. Navy National Anthem 49er Stadium and Giants World Series singer. Under the direction of Steve Snyder, the Lafayette Studio Big Band is a traditional 17 piece jazz orchestra playing music from the 1930s to today, in tribute to the legacy of Count Basie, Duke Ellingtion, Benny Goodman, Stan Kenton, Woody Herman, The Dorsey Brothers and more.
