MARTINEZ, Calif. – Preliminary results of the California Democratic Party Assembly District 14 Delegate race are in, with several Martinez residents making the cut.
Unofficial results show Susan Hamill the top female vote getter, with 251 votes. Hamill was also selected as the Executive Board Representative.
Behind Hamill, in the female category, is Amy Scott-Slovick, 242 votes; Susan George, 239; Cheryll Grover, 230; AnaMarie Avila Farias, 228; Susan Guest, 227; and Amy Hines, 227.
Male delegates elected include: Hakeem Brown, 333 votes; Satinder Malhi, 256; Edi Birsan, 250; Gabriel Haaland, 230; Harry Baker, 224; Ryan Apperson, 218; and Thomas Bilbo, 211.
The delegates will represent areas of Concord, Martinez, Pittsburg and Vallejo in the state Democrat Party and vote for presidential nominees, among other duties.
Official results from the Jan. 8 selection meeting are expected sometime this week.
