Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull are coming to town on June 2nd as part of a 50th Anniversary celebration of the career of the Progressive Classic Rock band. Appearing at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, Anderson, a Scottish born singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist best known as the lead vocalist and flutist for Tull, will be joined by musicians David Goodier (bass), John O’Hara (keyboards), Florian Opahle (guitar), Scott Hammond (drums).
Incorporating elements of both hard rock and British folk music with a mixture of the blues, Jethro Tull has sold over 60 million albums worldwide while achieving 11 gold and five platinum albums. Creating some of classic rock’s most recognizable tunes such as “Aqualung”, “Locomotive Breath”, “Skating Away”, “Bungle In The Jungle” and “Songs From The Woods”, the band has released 21 studio and nine live albums in their illustrious career.
Jethro Tull by Ian Anderson 50th Anniversary Tour Dates are also scheduled to include stops June 3rd at the Vina Robles Amphitheatre in Paso Robles, June 5th at the Fox Theatre in Visalia and June 6th at the Sacramento Community Theater.
