Trey Lance led the 49ers on a game winning eight play drive down the field in the final two minutes to set up a last second 20-yard field goal by Jake Moody in a 21-20 win over the Denver Broncos Saturday evening at Levi’s Stadium in the team’s preseason home opener.

Purdy went 4-5 for 65 yards thru the air on the games opening drive, while Lance, who missed the final 15 regular season games of the 2022 season along with the playoffs with a fractured ankle, went 12-18 for 173 yards with a touchdown and an interception while playing most of the second half.
