A despondent looking Steph Curry speaks volumes as the Warriors star’s shooting woes continued in a 111-105 loss to Indiana Monday night.

Jonathan Kuminga (26) and Buddy Hield (13) combined for an efficient 39 points off the bench, but it wasn’t enough to beat the Myles Turner-led Pacers. Turner notched his fourth double-double of the season with a 23 point, 10 rebound performance including the dagger three with 16 seconds remaining. Turner didn’t do it alone, as all five starters on the Pacers managed to collect double-digit points led by Pascal Siakim with 20. Tyrese Haliburton added 16 points and 12 assists.

Stephen Curry, recently coming off arguably the worst career shooting performance of his career, was unable to get it going yet again. The two-time former MVP shot 2-13 from the field and 2-9 from behind the arc, finishing with 10 points and seven assists.

Asked about Curry’s struggles after the game, Warriors coach Steve Kerr deflected, “Well not last game. But tough night for him. It happens. I thought we got good looks for much of the game. I thought our guys played really good basketball for good stretches. Slow start with the turnovers and then we got that settled quickly. We just couldn’t put the ball in the basket. Sometimes that’s what it comes down to.”

Dennis Schröder made his Warriors home debut tallying nine points, three assists, and one steal in 30 minutes. Schroder picked up his fifth foul early in the 4th quarter, causing him to be seated until the final two minutes of the game.

Trayce Jackson-Davis, back in a starting role, had 13 points and 8 rebounds in just 23 minutes. It was his second straight double-digit scoring game, and eighth of the season.

The Warriors close out a two-game home stand on Christmas Day, hosting the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday at 3PM. They’ll be looking to change their luck at home, as the Warriors have lost five of their last seven games at Chase Center.
